A Grassroots Effort to End forced Annexation Abuse in North Carolina

"We lay it down as a fundamental, that laws, to be just, must give a reciprocation of right; that, without this, they are mere arbitrary rules of conduct, founded in force, and not in conscience." --Thomas Jefferson

Commentary:

Update:
A thorough and candid examination of how vulnerable our current statutes leave NC property owners seems to be "forbidden territory".
Who's calling the shots on this issue? The citizens? Or the Municipal lobbyists?
*********

After reading local news reports and attending the Committee Hearing on Jan 18, it is not looking good so far for NC property owners getting any real protection.

Six speakers gave presentations to the Committee. FIVE argued for no added protections, including Andy Romanet presenting for the NCLM.

ONE speaker stood up for greater protection!

Two previously unscheduled property owners spoke to the Committee on Feb 1st about their experience with condemnation.

Citizens need to speak out.
